Connecting Your Shopify Store

Connect your Shopify store to TrolleyChat in just a few clicks.

Steps

  1. Go to Inbox Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Connect Shopify
  3. Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
  4. You'll be redirected to Shopify to approve the connection
  5. Click Install on the Shopify authorization page
  6. You'll be redirected back to TrolleyChat — you're all set

You need to be a Shopify store admin to authorize the connection.

What TrolleyChat Can Access

TrolleyChat only requests the permissions it needs:

TrolleyChat only reads data from your store — it never modifies products, orders, or customer records.

After Connecting

Once connected:

  • Your product catalog syncs automatically
  • The AI can search products and look up orders immediately
  • When a customer provides their email, TrolleyChat links them to their Shopify profile

Managing the Connection

  • Reconnect — if something breaks, you can reconnect from Inbox Settings → Integrations
  • Disconnect — remove the Shopify connection at any time from the same page

Troubleshooting

Connection fails

  • Make sure you're logged in as a Shopify store admin
  • Double-check your store URL
  • Try clearing your browser cookies and connecting again

Products not showing up

  • Make sure the connection is active in Inbox Settings → Integrations
  • Check that your products are published (draft products won't appear)
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting
