Email

Manage customer support emails right from your TrolleyChat inbox.

What You Need

  • A Mailgun account
  • A domain verified in Mailgun (e.g., support.yourstore.com)

Setup

  1. Go to Inbox Settings → Channels → Email
  2. Enter your Mailgun credentials:
    • API Key
    • Domain
    • From Email (e.g., support@yourstore.com)
  3. Follow the instructions to configure your Mailgun inbound route
  4. Click Save

How It Works

When a customer emails your support address, the message appears in your TrolleyChat inbox. Your AI assistant can respond automatically, or a team member can reply. The customer receives your response as a normal email.

Replies stay threaded — if a customer replies to your email, it continues the same conversation in TrolleyChat.

Troubleshooting

Emails not showing up

  • Make sure your domain is verified in Mailgun
  • Check that the inbound route is set up correctly in your Mailgun dashboard
  • Look at Mailgun's logs for any delivery errors
