Facebook Messenger
Respond to Facebook Page messages from your TrolleyChat inbox.
What You Need
- A Meta Business Suite account
- A Facebook Page with messaging enabled
Setup
- Go to Inbox Settings → Channels → Facebook Messenger
- Click Connect with Meta
- Authorize TrolleyChat to access your Facebook Page
- Select which Page to connect
- Click Save
How It Works
When a customer messages your Facebook Page, the message appears in your TrolleyChat inbox. Your AI assistant can respond automatically, or a team member can reply. The customer sees your response in Messenger.
Shared Setup with Instagram
Facebook Messenger and Instagram use the same Meta connection. If you've already connected one, the other is easy to add — you won't need to authorize again.
Troubleshooting
Messages not arriving
- Make sure messaging is enabled on your Facebook Page
- Check that the connection is active in Inbox Settings → Channels → Facebook Messenger
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Meta account
