Widget Customization

Make the TrolleyChat widget match your brand.

Appearance Settings

Configure these in Inbox Settings → Widget:

Colors

  • Primary color — the color of the chat bubble, header, and send button
  • Text color — the color of text in the header

Position

Choose where the chat bubble appears on your site:

  • Bottom-right (default)
  • Bottom-left

Welcome Message

Set the greeting customers see when they open the chat:

Hi there! How can we help you today?

Brand Name

The name shown in the chat header. Defaults to your inbox name.

Quick Actions

Quick actions are shortcut buttons that appear at the start of a conversation. They help customers find what they need without typing.

Examples:

  • "Track My Order"
  • "Browse Products"
  • "Shipping Policy"
  • "Talk to an Agent"

Set these up in Inbox Settings → Widget → Quick Actions.

Email Collection

You can ask for a visitor's email before starting a chat:

  • Required — visitor must enter their email to start chatting
  • Optional — the email prompt appears but can be skipped
  • Disabled — no email collection

Collecting emails helps identify returning customers and link them to their Shopify orders.
